Festival of Hope 08

Festival of Hope 08 is a unique coming together of 3 events from 4th – 14th June 2008. The culmination will be on Saturday 14th June with a huge Gospel Arts street party in Hope Street, Liverpool.

ABOUT

Merseyfest works with people of good will who want to change their communities for good. Formed in 2002 by churches and Christian organisations on Merseyside, Merseyfest is committed to bring good news to the neediest parts of our region though practical demonstrations of kindness.

The underlying values that motivate and guide Merseyfest are those taught and demonstrated by Jesus Christ, and whilst we respect and welcome all who want to be involved, we are unashamed about our reliance on the principles and power of Christ to transform our communities.

The vision is to "Change Communities for Good" by people from the Christian churches across the region stepping out of their comfort zones, working in partnership with churches and other organisations and getting out into their communities to make a difference.

Story so Far

Past projects/events have included environmental, sporting, musical, and kids club themes. Other projects have been very creative with one church launching a cruise for the elderly in the church hall!.
