Festival of Hope 08

Festival of Hope 08 is a unique coming together of 3 events from 4th – 14th June 2008. The culmination will be on Saturday 14th June with a huge Gospel Arts street party in Hope Street, Liverpool.

Plans are taking shape working with Love and Joy Ministries and Liverpool Hope University for The Liverpool Festival of Hope and an International Youth Congress both of which will take place between 4th and 14th June.

Merseyfest supports the vision of Hope '08 and as part of this period we want to do our bit to deliver "a million hours of kindness" to the nation. It would be fantastic if your project had a cultural emphasis to coincide with Liverpool being European Capital of Culture 2008.

Consider "Culture" which can be reflected in the regions music, literature, art, cuisine, sport and some of our historic parks and open spaces. Consider our association with the river and the sea and the ethnic mix of your area. I am sure you will be able to think creatively about what you and your church can do in association with your community.
