Festival of Hope

Festival of Hope 08 is a unique coming together of 3 events from 4th – 14th June 2008. The culmination will be on Saturday 14th June with a huge Gospel Arts street party in Hope Street, Liverpool.

The 3 major events are an exciting contribution to the Capital of Culture year. Merseyfest is a key partner in delivering ‘Festival of Hope 08’ along with LJM Group and Liverpool Hope University. The vision is to make a significant and lasting Christian contribution to the Capital of Culture year.

Liverpool Hope University are expecting 2,000 delegates to attend their Global Youth Congress - The Big Hope. Merseyfest will look to work with many of the international delegates by involving them in Merseyfest ‘projects’ during June 08.

LJM Group (a.k.a. Love & Joy Ministries) will also be running their International Festival of Gospel Music - City Sings Gospel 08. Merseyfest are also partnering with LJM Group to develop community choirs around the region as well as making the most of the opportunity that ‘City Sings Gospel 08’ will present.
