Merseyfest!
Merseyfest is a movement for change. Its about ordinary people from all walks of life working together to change their community for good.
Merseyfest is an initiative by the Churches of the region to work with people of good-will who want to make a positive difference in their locality. We started in 2003 says Project Director Mike Kerry and since then there have been hundreds of projects of kindness bringing positive changes throughout the region. We have helped scores of communities work together to improve their environment, hold concerts and kids events and we even put together a massive festival attended by 75,000 people!
By working in partnership with Hope University, Love and Joy Ministries, and the national initiative Hope 08, Merseyfest brings together positive community change with creativity, culture, and heritage, to give our communities a sense of enduring hope for the future.
